		<description>The cost of grapes is the single price driver in Champagne for regular champagnes;  if you consider 1kg of grapes per bottle at a cost of around EUR6, then a bottle, the processing, then aging and storage... then EUR15 per bottle at the end of the process.  Doesn&#039;t seem like it is the Champenoise making too much profit here!  Different story, of course, with the &quot;prestige cuvees&quot; and very high end brands.</description>
